About the role
We are seeking an experienced Marine Purchasing Officer to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, spare parts, and related services supporting marine and shipping operations. This is a temporary position based in Doha, Qatar.

Qualifications & Experience
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related discipline
• 4–8 years of experience procuring materials, equipment, and spare parts
• At least 3 years within the Marine or Shipping industry
• Exposure to vessel requirements and time-critical marine operations
• Sound understanding of procurement processes, supply chain operations, and materials management
• CIPS, ISM, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred
Skills & Competencies
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Marine equipment, vessel spare parts, and technical materials sourcing
• Supplier quotation review and commercial evaluation
• Purchase order processing and delivery coordination
• Urgent vessel requisition management
• Vendor negotiation, cost control, and supplier evaluation
• SAP or similar e-procurement system proficiency
• Tendering, compliance, audit, and performance-monitoring knowledge
• Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder coordination capabilities
