About the role
We are seeking an experienced Marine Procurement Category Officer to manage strategic sourcing, category planning, supplier performance, and contract lifecycle activities for marine goods and services. This is a temporary position based in Doha, Qatar.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline • Minimum 3 years of experience in Marine Procurement • Relevant experience in a similar role within a recognized maritime or shipping organization • Strong background in strategic sourcing, category management, contract management, and vendor management • Knowledge of marine vendors, maritime operations, and relevant industry regulations • Exposure to LPG, LNG, shipping, offshore, or vessel-management operations is preferred • CIPS or an equivalent professional qualification is an advantage

• Category strategy development and implementation • End-to-end sourcing and contract lifecycle management • Commercial negotiation, renewals, and contract amendments • Supplier evaluation, relationship management, and KPI monitoring • Market analysis, spend benchmarking, and cost optimization • Procurement risk, compliance, and governance oversight • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and procurement platforms • AMOS knowledge is an advantage • Strong analytical, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving capabilities
