IT Solution Architect

The IT Solution Architect is responsible for designing and developing information technology solutions and mapping business requirements to systems and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with the enterprise architectural plan.

Qualifications & Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Strong technical understanding of telecommunications systems, architecture and solutions.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior technical position.
• Experience working as a Technical Lead, Team Lead, Solution Architect or in a consultancy role with a system integrator.
• Proven ability to define high-level solution architectures.
• Experience documenting high-level system architectures and technical designs.
• Ability to explain how different components of an architecture interact.
• Ability to estimate the level of effort and duration required for entire projects.
• Experience developing Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA).
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or equivalent.

Skills & Competencies

• Expertise in BSS/OSS solution design within a telecommunications Operating Company.
• Experience in vendor evaluation and selection through RFP and RFQ processes for IT implementations.
• Strong understanding of business strategy and organisational objectives.
• Ability to translate business strategy into effective information system designs.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and alignment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts and proposed solutions to different stakeholders.
• Strong conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
• Creative, outside-the-box problem-solving ability.
• Ability to develop practical, simple and effective technology solutions that meet business requirements.
